About the Founder
My name is Ceresia Smith
Born to Care, Inc. was born out of my own life experiences. I became a mother at 19, navigating the challenges of being a single teen mom.
I turned to public assistance, which helped but never fully provided what I needed to survive. Despite the struggles, I began working toward my dream, determined to build a better future for myself and my daughter. The road wasn’t easy, but I’ve made it to where I want to be today.
Because of the difficulties I faced and the lack of resources available to me, I created Born to Care, Inc. I’m deeply dedicated to mentoring and supporting homeless, low-income, expectant, and teen women and children.
My goal is to make sure they are heard and to provide them with a safe place where they can access the resources and support they need. I want to be the voice and the help that I wish I had when I needed it most.

Based in Riverview, Florida, Born To Care Inc is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of women andchildren in need.
We believe that every individual deserves access to essential lifenecessities such as food, clothing, and basic resources.
For the moment we service the following counties: Piedmont Triad and Forsyth, in North Carolina; Miami-Dade, Broward and Hillsborough, in Florida.
